here is my first trial with color film in my new camera. i'm amazed by how nicely the photos turn out despite the camera being over 50 years old and not being too expensive. then again, a camera is a precision instrument (not a percussion instrument) and shouldn't break unless YOU break it. but i did buy it from a second hand shop above a shoestore in shinjuku, and it was the cheapest TLR in the place... anyway, i'm also pleased enough with my manual exposure skill so far. i sort of like color. sometimes. i just love shooting film.

Bravo, Orange and blue! Is this photographic process much harder than 35mm?
i think all you really have to get used to is composition in a square frame, which i think is exciting and am somewhat tempered to by years of shooting polaroid film.
i think for me the only trick is the camera, which can give considerable parallax error since the taking lens is blow the viewing lens; and focus is a bit more difficult; and i have to manually set shutter speed and aperture to what i perceive is the correct exposure, which can be tricky, but my exposures all seem pretty okay so far. it's by no means a spontaneous camera, though. it makes you plan what you want to shoot more. i suppose if it was bright and sunny you could shoot at f/16 or f/22 and a high shutterspeed (the highest on the camera is 1/300s) and hope everything is sharp. but mostly it's planning. i think i'll use it most for portraits and architectural photography and things like that.
film can be harder and expensiver to find. but that doesn't mean anything if you live in new york and have b&h nearby. still, some guy tried to sell me some color film for $9 on 42nd street. you can get a 5-pack of the same film for $15 at b&h.
ahhhh, i love the colors!! these are so beautiful, especially the roly poly kitty. the one with the escalators is great too, with the texture of the brick versus the plastic/metallic. wonderful. i'd love to see some more color photos from you.
